Day 13 - Wristlets for my Cousins!

If you read my post from yesterday you know that every year on Christmas Eve my Husband and I head over to my Uncle’s house in which we give my 5 cousins a gift.  The boys ended up with a marshmallow shooter that I made myself so I needed to think of something to give the girls.  I had made a couple of wristlets for other people so I decided it would be a nice creative idea to make the girls their own wristlets and personalize it with their first initials.  Once again I had trouble coordinating fabric colors so I decided that each of them would get one with the fabric made up mostly of black material and I would alter the top part of the wristlet to their personality.

My friend Lindsay had made this specific wristlet before so I turned to the blog that she used and followed the directions there.  If anyone is ever in need of a good sewing/craft website I would highly recommend One Pretty Thing.  I follow her blog daily as every post is something new.  If you type in “wristlet” in the search box you will come across a post on a blog called Sew 4 Home.  This is the blog I followed to make the wristlet’s below.

Besides the embroidering part these wristlets take hardly anytime to make!  If you would like to learn how to make them let me know and I will be more than happy to teach you!
